Getting ready to sell: what's worth it
You don't need a remodel. You need clean, bright and fixed. Here's how to spend your time and money.
The short version
Clean, declutter, fix the small stuff and freshen the outside. Big remodels right before listing rarely pay you back, so save your money and your weekends.
A weekend of prep, before and after
Most of the difference buyers notice comes from clutter, cleaning and light, not remodeling.
Drag the gold handle to compare. Same room, same furniture. Just cleared, cleaned and brightened.

Questions I hear a lot
Should I stage my home?
It depends on the home. Empty rooms and odd layouts often benefit. A tidy, furnished home may just need some editing. We'll decide together.
Should I get a pre-listing inspection?
Sometimes. It can help with older homes or ones with known issues, so there are fewer surprises once you're under contract.
Do I need to move out before listing?
No. Most people live in their home while it's for sale. A little extra tidying before showings goes a long way.
Thinking about selling?
I'll walk through your home with you and tell you honestly what's worth doing and what isn't.
