Edmonds

A walkable waterfront town on Puget Sound, about 15 miles north of downtown Seattle. Ferries, beaches, flower baskets, and a downtown you can do on foot.

The waterfront

Brackett's Landing is the beach right next to the ferry dock. Driftwood, a rock jetty, and boats coming and going all day. Just offshore is the Edmonds Underwater Park, a favorite with scuba divers.

The ferry runs across to Kingston, and the Sounder commuter train stops a short walk from the water.

Downtown on foot

Main Street runs downhill toward the Sound, lined with shops, cafes and restaurants. Summer brings the hanging flower baskets Edmonds is known for.

The Third Thursday Art Walk fills downtown with galleries and music once a month, and the Edmonds Center for the Arts hosts shows year-round.

Sunsets off the pier

The Edmonds Fishing Pier is free and open to everyone. Bring a rod, or just a coffee, and watch the sun go down behind the Olympics.
